Round Door Knob on Plate

Change the style of your door knob, by mounting on a backplate rather than round rose. Shown here is the CR 6503 Ball Knob on Backplate. The knobs in the photo are shown mounted on a “lock” backplate, which has a keyway to take a key, for a standard mortice sashlock, but are also available with plain/latch plates and bathroom plates, with thumbturns.

Ball knobs are a traditional Victorian design of plain round door knob. By changing the finishes on these, they can suit either a traditional Victorian property or add vintage style to modern décor. Shown here in the antique nickel (these are cast brass, nickel plated and this nickel then oxidised, to give this warm, aged patina), these door knobs are available in over twenty finishes and metals, including real, sand cast bronze. Each one is made in the UK and individually finished by hand.
